Roofus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Roofus's Story...
Roofus came to us when another rescue had fallen on hard times. Poor Roofus had tape worms when we got him and his breathe was not good at all. We got rid of the tape worms and got him a dental. He only had 6 teeth when we got him and today he only has 3 teeth. This does not hold him put from eating and he loves soft treats. He is about 11 years old and plays with the other Chihuahua's in his foster home that are 3 years old. He does not act 11 years of age at all. He is only 9lbs. He is a snuggler, loves to sleep next to you or under the covers. Loves to sit on your lap while you watch tv. Even though he is 11 years old he still has plenty of life left in him. He is fully vetted, fixed and on monthly prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roofus, a Haggerstown Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Haggerstown, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Haggerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haggerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haggerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haggerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
