Markey's Story...
MY ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN PAID FOR BY A DONOR! PLEASE COME MEET ME!

This beautiful boy is Marky. He's a lab mix around 5 years old and around 60 lbs. Marky would love his own yard to play in and would be a good fit for an active individual, preferable a home without young children. He gets along well with other dogs so hee'd do well with a playmate. His adoption fee has been paid by a generous donor. Marky has been at CARA for too long now. Please help us find him the home he deserves. Come meet him today at the shelter.

If you are interested in adopting this pet, please visit our Website for information on our Adoption Process and to fill out our online addoption application.

Breed identification by visual means is unreliable for most dogs. We are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Each dog at CARA is an individual and we do our best to describe each animal based on personality, not be breed label.

Marky prefers a home without young children and is neutered and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Markey, a Jackson Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
