Meet Rue! Rue is a sweet, low maintenance girl that weighs 11 pounds and is approximately 6 years old. Her breed falls somewhere between a fox and terrier mix. When Rue was sprung from the pound, she was immediately ready for her close up! Not only is this photogenic beauty sweet but she is housetrained as well. Rue lives in a foster home that has two other small dogs and gets along just fine with them. She would be just as happy as an only dog since her main interest is being petted by humans. Rue is so eager for love she will timidly sneak in for extra loving anytime she notices you petting any other dog and it is quite adorable!
Rue will be your little sidekick but will also spend time by herself chewing on a bully stick or taking a nap. Rue sleeps in her crate or doggy bed at night. She does well with car rides and isn’t a picky eater. Rue has wonderful house manners, allowing humans to go out the door first and never tries to run out of the house unaccompanied, even in a fenced in backyard. She is getting the hang of going on leashed walks but this is probably an activity she didn’t do very much in her former life so she can take it or leave it.
Rue is somewhat skittish of loud noises but is showing improvements as she adjusts to her foster home. Rue has so much to give and deserves a loving home. She is a healthy girl, up-to-date on vetting, spayed, and microchipped. Rue is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but can be adopted to surrounding areas and states for a perfect fit.
