Harley's Story...
Hi, I'm Harley! I'm about 8 months old and around 35 pounds. I'm a lab mix and my foster mom says I have a perfect personality because I'm gentle, sweet, and kind of goofy. I love to run and play, inside and out. I love playing with other dogs but I'm just as happy playing by myself with my toys. My favorite toy is a long-legged stuffed bunny that I toss in the air and wrestle with. I love to play tug, chase my foster dog brothers around the yard, or go on walks with my foster mom. I cuddle and play with my foster family and love to have them scratch behind my ears. I love my dog toys and really like it when my foster mom drags my bunny around the floor for me to chase.

I’m house-trained, leash-trained, and I know how to sit politely for food, treats, toys, or just because I’m told to. I’ve learned so much since Friends of Rescue helped save me and am looking for someone to love me and help me continue to learn. Do you want to be my hero? If you do, please email info@FORrescue.net and tell them you can’t wait to meet me! You can even apply directly at http://www.FORrescue.net/dog-application.

I'm currently fostered in Madison, Alabama but I'm not picky about where I end up as long as I am an inside dog and loved! I have been neutered, am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Nashville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
