Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willow is a somewhat shy Border Collie (or mix) who is probably not more than a 1 ½ years. She was a stray…apparently deserted by someone. She’s cautious with new people, but loves them once she gets to know them. She is a big schmoozer…she loves cuddle.
She’s a pretty calm for a young dog and seems not to require vigorous exercise to relax...but she needs exercise since she is a young and agile dog. Willow seems not to be a barker in the house or yard, but did alert bark to a new dog at the fence…then befriended that dog. While she doesn’t seem to have learned any training commands she is attentive and willing…and she’s good on leash and travels well in the car. We think she needs to be an only dog since she’s not good at sharing attention with another dog. But outside of the home she seems fine with other dogs…plays with them.
(An adoption donation of $250 is required.) If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out the CHEW Adoption Application you can find on the Adoption page of our website: chewdogrescue.org, If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
