Ziggy-HELP's Story...
Ziggy is an adorable ~2 year old mix rescued from the local pound. Poor little Ziggy seemed to be having trouble walking on one of his hind legs, and we have learned he has an old injury to his hip that requires surgery to relieve his pain. He will be looking for a quiet adult home in which to recover. We are in desperate need of donations to help with the cost of his surgery- all donation are tax-deductible as we are a non-profit. Donations can be mailed to: Second Chance, P.O. Box 221, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438. Thank you for your support!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy-HELP, a Oak Ridge Norwich Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norwich Terrier/Cairn Terrier for sale in Oak Ridge, or seeking a Norwich Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Oak Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norwich Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Norwich Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
