My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Em is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), female, 2.5 years of age.

An absolute sweetheart who cannot resist cuddles or belly rubs, Em adores attention and will give lots of love in return. She's a committed snuggler and she adores being petted, brushed, and talked to. Highly cheerful and affectionate, she's completely devoted to people and other cats she's familiar with.

Throw her a toy or string and you'll quickly see her quirky, playful side. She thoroughly enjoys all forms of play, with people and other cats alike. She'll also gladly entertain herself with toys or exploring her environment; a cat tower or window perch would no go to waste with this girl!

Part of a bonded pair, Em is a more confident, socially outgoing cat then her sister, Sylvie. Wherever Em goes, Sylvie is soon to follow.

Em is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low to moderately-active lifestyle. She is a friendly cat who gets along well with other compatible cats, and she’s comfortable in the presence of well-mannered dogs who respect her space.

As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable cats, a home visit will be required prior to adoption.

Em currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Resale Store/The Fur Factory. You can meet her Tuesday – Thursday, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Friday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, or by appointment; closed Sunday, Monday, and National Holidays.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $75.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
