My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is a courtesy listing for another group. Please email saveamuttkennel@yahoo.com DIRECTLY for more information.

It is unfair for such a wonderful dog to be stuck in rescue when there is a home out there. Transport to CT can be arranged.

Amber was abandoned at a local business. We took her in to find he a safe home. Her estimated date of birth is July 2014. She is extremely sweet and great with kids. She lives with 2 kids at her foster home. She is laid back and friendly. She is great with other dogs. She is great with cats, she actually lived with feral cats at the location where she was abandoned. She was often seen eating along side the feral cats when their care taker put their food out. She is a smallish mix maybe around 40-45 pounds. We are not exactly sure of her exact mix except there is def some pit there. She may be shep mixed with those stand up ears. Pits generally have floppy ears but some do stand erect, even though that is a fault according to breed standard. She has been started on crate training and potty training and she is doing well. She is a beautiful laid back girl who would make a sweet addition to any family.

She will go to her new home spayed, current on shots, current on heartworm prevention and testing and micro-chipped. She will have a complete physical by our vet and a health certificate issued no more than 48 hours prior to going to her new home. She will also have 1 free month of pet health insurance and the adopter will get all her health records.

We do require a pre screen application to apply. You can get that on the main web site at www.saveamuttkennel-ny.info . Please read the faq page while you are there.

Low cost transport can be provided! All our dogs are fostered in NC and VA and they can be transported to one of our many locations in the North East.
