My story

Elba is a little poodle mix. She is approx 1 year old and 9 lbs. She was diagnosed with a heart murmur and PDA (please read about it here - http://www.petmd.com/dog/conditions/cardiovascular/c_multi_patent_ductus_arteriosus


We took her to the Texas A&M Small Veterinary Medicine Hospital that has great cardiologists, and they performed very successful surgery to correct the issue..and now she is ready for her new home!!! She is a lively little girl and loves to run and jump and play. She gets along with all of the other dogs, seems to be pretty good on the house training and just loves going on walks,and will jump right up in the car to go on a ride, she is very adventurous, she just as lovable as can be -a really special little dog.
If you live in MA, there are new requirements for rescue dogs - according to the State Law, all rescues have to be quarantined for 48 hrs at the Ben Elder Kennels in Westport, MA. There is additional cost for this quarantine and new required health cert by a licensed MA vet of $110. We will go over all fees with you via email. Also, The state of MA does not allow adoptions of dogs that are heart worm positive. We are required to do a foster to adopt until the dog tests heart worm negative, usually in 4-6 months after treatment.
