Chalette (pronounced Shah-lay) is a fiesty little girl who is lots of fun to play with! Her Mom was living in an outdoor cat colony way up in the country, but the man who fed them didn't get them spayed or neutered, so when he passed away and rescuers came to help, they found lots of pregnant mamas! Luckily for us they are all really friendly and these kittens love to be petted and played with! They have been raised from birth around small children and dogs, so should not have a problem with either.

Chalette is a fun little acrobatic kitten that jumps around, chases balls, and is an absolute blast to watch. When she gets tired she loves to cuddle up next to you or on your chest and purr in your ear. Chalette and her littermates were born April 26, 2015, and are up to date on shots.

Chalette is not spayed at this time and it would be the responsibility of the adopter to have her spayed upon adoption. Chalette is good with other cats and dogs (after an appropriate introduction period), and ready to find her new home. Her adoption fee is $35. Please see our Adoption FAQ page at for more info, and you can also see her at

About Dot's Place Animal Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

I started out in rescue trying to rehabilitate feral cats, and I've done some good work in that field, but I soon expanded to rescuing all cats that I could. I currently am not accepting any cats for our shelter and in the future will only be accepting on an emergency basis. I've been rescuing most of my life in one form or another, my mother was a rescuer (but we didn't call her that back then!). I've been around animals all of my life and have an affinity and an affection for them. In 2013 we started pulling puppies from Oconee County Animal Shelter for another rescue located in Maryland, who then backed out on us. Rather than return these dogs to a kill shelter we decided to keep them and find good homes for them. Our standards for dog adopters are as stringent as for cat adopters, we only want the best homes for the pets we rescue.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions are by application and contract. The adoption fee is dependent on the animal and includes spay/neuter and initial shots. You will be required to give a vet reference and a home visit is ALWAYS required, either before or after the adoption. Our cats are indoor-only and NO declawing is allowed of our adoptions, and we do spot home checks to make sure this rule is followed exclusively.
