Coco Puff's Story...
Coco Puff is a wonderful Greyhound that is ready to retire. During her racing career, she ran in 39 races and has had more than nine puppies. Her entire litter was named for breakfast cereals--isn't that a hoot--our adoption group has been thrilled to get the chance to find homes for her siblings including Apple Jack, Cheerios, and Kix; (Fruitloop ended up moving to a home in Virginia). So, here' s where you come in--when we find a home for Coco--we will have found homes for most of her litter-how cool is that? The group also found a home for her Momma dog-Gorgeous. All of the dogs from Coco's family have sweet and loving temperaments--including Coco. She's lovely and we know she would fit into most any home. Her adoption fee is discounted and is $125 since she will soon celebrate her 8th birthday. Coco was born on September 3, 2007.

Coco is moving to a home that wishes to "foster her with intention (to adopt)" if everything works out. We are thrilled with this new development and will keep you posted! Don't forget to visit our webpage for the latest news about our adoption and rescue group.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco Puff, a Lubbock Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Lubbock, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lubbock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lubbock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lubbock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lubbock paves the way for another one to be saved.
