My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stewey is a 1 year old tan and white terrier mix who weighs 7 lbs. He has puppy energy and is extremely affectionate. Despite his high spirits he is very gentle. Stewey is curious and confident and gets along well with other dogs. He is housetrained and also knows how to use a pee pad when it rains. He’s a chewer, favoring shoes and electrical cords so he has to be confined when left alone. Stewey does not seem to be aggressive or fearful but he will bark when left alone or when he hears noises outside. He is great with kids, even toddlers. Stewey walks well on the leash and responds to his pack leader immediately. He minds well, is very smart and responds to praise so that would be a good way to motivate him. He sleeps in his crate and is not territorial about food, loves cars and his doggie seat belt. Unfortunately, he has severe separation anxiety and will bark and howl if left alone or if confined. It is possible that another dog in the home will provide him with some company and help him with his anxiety. He needs an experienced owner to help him with this issue.
