Chowder's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chowder's Story...
Birthdate: May 2008. Chowder's owner became very ill and had to give him up when she got too sick to take care of him. Chowder is a wonderful dog that loves everybody and gets along with cats, but needs to be the only dog in a household. Before he was given up, Chowder lived with a cat named Angel [who the owner also had to give up and has since been adopted]. Chowder likes to play, but he mostly prefers to lay or hang out with people--children of all ages or adults, he loves them all! Chowder is a big boy--he weighs about 92 lbs., but he is fully grown and shouldn't gain any more weight. If you are interested in Chowder, please contact us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chowder, a Sterling Heights Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
