Cashmere's Story...
Cashmere is a laid back gal who is friendly to people and playful with dogs. She knows basic commands such as “sit” and “lay”. Cashmere is very treat motivated and is a smart girl so she can be taught other commands. Cashmere was adopted to a loving home through our rescue when she was just a puppy. Cashmere was in this home for almost two years and they took good care of her and loved her completely. Unfortunately, the family was devastated when they had to return her because of a difficult life circumstance. The fact that Cashmere was well loved is apparent in her good nature. Cashmere gets along with other dogs, but tends to be dominate so will need to be with a submissive dog. Cashmere likes going on walks. She is about 2 years old as of July 2015 and weighs about 73 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. Cashmere is homeless again through no fault of her own. Please consider giving this young lady another home where she can live forever. Please complete and adoption application at ITVrescue.org for your chance to meet Ms. Cashmere.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cashmere, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
