My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, e’rybody! Laina here. I’ve been through a lot lately, but it hasn’t slowed me down—or soured me out—at all.

I got loose from my home and was hit by a car before animal control picked me up. Luckily enough, I had ID and they were able to locate my person. Unluckily … my person couldn’t afford to pay for the surgery I needed, so they had to leave me at the kill shelter. Let’s not judge or hate; let’s just move forward …

Luckily again? A (very) good samaritan who works with this rescue and others heard about me, pulled me and paid for my surgery. Now I’m here, I’m healing, and I have several people working to find me a new home.

I’m a wonderful (and perfectly mobile now) girl around 4-5 years old. I’m easygoing, like all dogs and people (even cats!), am up-to-date on all my shots, and have the coolest “mask hat” ever.
