I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Celeste's Story...
Celeste arrived at the shelter from Lassen County, where she came in as a stray. In fact, her sister Harley went home with her new family from HSTT just a couple of weeks ago! Celeste is a super energetic and playful girl who loves sniffing around and chasing her ball. Sweet Celeste enjoys walks and does pretty well on leash, especially considering her past as a stray. She is great at sharing and she plays appropriately, so she would be a great fit for a family with other dogs and kids – both of whom she LOVES! Simply put, Celeste will be your loveable darling for life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Celeste, a Truckee Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Truckee, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Truckee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Truckee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Truckee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Truckee paves the way for another one to be saved.
