Keith's Story...
Strapping young fellow Keith was so excited to get out of his jail cell and have the opportunity to go exploring. He was tired of being cooped up and took full advantage of his freedom to investigate all the sights and sounds along the way. After he had a chance to burn off a little steam he was happy to settle down in the shade and focus some of his attention on his handler. He is a friendly, confident boy who is comfortable being handled and once his initial eagerness wore off he was easy to manage on the lead. Keith came in with Melizza and he has watched her find rescue so he is hoping he will be as fortunate. He is a strong lad who will do best with some room to roam and ample opportunity for exercise. 1-2 years, 55 lbs

Act quickly to adopt Keith. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keith, a Darlington Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
