My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/28/16 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $300

Fostered in Texas

Age: 7 years

Weight: 5.5 lbs.

9/19/15 - Gwenie is a sweetheart of a gal and loves to be where her person/people are. She loves to cuddle and snuggle and purr, yes really, she actually purrs like a cat. She like to play with other dogs, but does seem to want to dominate the toys.

She does very well with her potty training, once she learns her new home and her new family learns her cues. She has no problem letting someone at the door know that her home is guarded by a Yorkshire Terrier. But, once the intruder enters, she enjoys the company and gets along with everyone. She is such a sweet, special little girl that is going to make a family really happy.

Since having her dental and losing teeth, her cute little tongue sticks out every so slightly which adds character to her adorable face. She does better eating soft food so will need to continue on that. She does like to sleep in bed with her people and loves to be under the covers curled up next to her humans.

As you can see, applying to adopt Gwenie would only bring happiness to your home and make a previously stray, not taken care of baby, a happy yorkie camper. It’s a win/win situation.

7/29/15 - Hi, my name is Gwenie. I was found roaming around the streets by a nice couple. After looking for my owners for a very long time, it was realized that I was probably dumped after being bred for money. The people who found me said I am a very sweet and loving dog, but they just could not take on another pup, especially since I needed a dental and other vetting done that would be costly. They did the next best thing though. They called some people that specialized in saving yorkies like me.

Now I’m in a foster home with other yorkies and have had all my medical needs taken care of. Seems my teeth were in awful shape, I lost 12 of them. It’s ok though, I feel so much better with those gone and have plenty left to eat with. I also had a small lump that they removed and sent off to be biopsied. I feel confident that nothing is wrong.

My foster mom says she cannot imagine who would not want me. She says I’m sweet, smart observant, listens very well, gets along great with the other pups in the home, loves to cuddle and snuggle with the humans, sleeps well in the human bed at night, am pretty much potty trained, walk well on a leash, enjoys care rides and sitting in laps. Whew, I’m awesome if I must toot my own horn. Seems I also love to wear clothes and will help you by putting my head in and seem to enjoy when I have an outfit on. Since I like clothes so much, if you adopt me, I promise to wear one of those shirts that says “I Love Mommy/Daddy”.

I’m sure it won’t take long for my foster mom to find me the best, most perfect permanent home, but do understand, she is going to be very picky since I obviously was discarded before. I am a true companion and lap dog looking for a great Mom and/or Dad to love me unconditionally.

7/22/15 - BIO COMING SOON!
