Betsy's Story...
Little busy-body Betsy wanted to keep an eye on everything going on in the shelter yard while she was out and about for her photo shoot. She is a friendly girl who came right over to say hello to all the visitors. Betsy seems to be a toy collector as she had to check out each and every toy in the play yard and carry them around. She is an active little girl who seems true to her JRT roots. She was friendly with the cats on the yard and she walked right over and touched noses with one of them and then backed away. Betsy walked well on the lead but panicked when tethered. Betsy has been kenneled with her sister Belia since arriving at the shelter but they have been bossy with other dogs in their kennel so they have not been sharing with others. 3 years, 18 lbs,

Act quickly to adopt Betsy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy, a Darlington Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi dog from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
