Hello folks! My name is Edith. I am a 6-year-old female Cattledog/Terrier mix. I weigh approximately 32 pounds.
I'm as sweet as they come! I'm mellow and mature, and I am excellent on a leash. No pulling or tugging here! A stroll with me is like a walk in the park.
I know I look a little rough right now, but please don't hold that against me. I came into a local high-kill shelter as a stray and from the looks of it, I had probably been out on my own for awhile. As you can see from my photos, I'm missing quite a bit of hair on my body. Since I had so many bald spots, the staff at the shelter thought that I might have mange. Turns out that I didn't. I'm probably just really allergic to fleas. I was found covered in them. You wouldn't believe how many fleas were living on me. I itched and scratched so much. It was awful!
I've since been treated for the fleas and I'm already feeling so much better. My skin is less irritated and red and I couldn't be more thrilled. Pretty soon my hair will grow back and I'll be just as good looking as I was before my street days.
As I hinted to before, I am a pretty easygoing gal. I don't require an excessive amount of exercise, but I do enjoy the attention of my human companions. I am a huge sucker for belly rubs and will request them whenever possible. A couple walks per day and a few hundred belly rubs should be enough to keep me happy!
