My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TREVOR is a 10 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 67 pounds. He is an affectionate gentleman in need of a loving place to live out his golden days! He is house trained and crate trained and enjoys his crate. Trevor loves going for walks and is good on leash. He enjoys seeing other dogs and always wags his tail at them. Trevor is good with other dogs. No known cat history so cats are unknown. Has not previously lived with kids . Trevor does not do well off leash and has a tendency to bolt, he should be kept on leash when in an unfenced area. Trevor is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (9/29): Trevor Dog continues to be an A+ foster! During his time here, he has met many dogs of all ages and sizes, and he has been great with all of them. As a senior, he likes his relaxation time, but if a young dog wants to play he likes to run around. It's been a long road to put weight on his old bones, but I do think he has a few extra pounds. He is not a speed eater at all, and he likes to have me near him while he eats. Trevor Dog also loves every person he meets. He will immediately sit and start giving a paw for attention. If he feels you may have forgotten about him, he will quickly ask for your attention again with his paw or a nose in your backside! :) He is great on walks and gets very excited when he sees the leash. At night, he likes to sleep on the bed and will stay there all night. He is completely house trained and can easily make a regular work day. While he gets along with all dogs, he might like a quieter home so he doesn't have to compete for his attention.

Update (8/14): Trevor Dog has been between two foster homes for the last three weeks and will be going back to the other foster home this weekend. Even with all of this change, to include being surrendered by his family, he is the most loving and happy dog. The thing Trevor wants most of all is love, love, and love from his human. Trevor gets along well with all dogs, but I'm not sure he really needs one to live with in order to be happy. When my dog is getting attention, he nudges his long nose in between and gets more than his fair share. He has perfected the Sit and Place Paw on Human for Love. As for cats, Trevor proved himself to be a little overly cat-curious. He lived with a dog-savvy cat for a while before my cat passed away, but he needed verbal reminders to not stalk the cat. So I would say no to cats for him. I do not crate Trevor and there have only been a few minor chewing incidents...a wooden handle to a hairbrush and an old wallet. BUT when he chewed the wallet he found a key I had been looking for, so I consider that being helpful. When I leave the house, he shows me that he may have been Interior "Paw"signer by moving the dog beds around. He doesn't chew them....just places them in a more feng shui way. Sometimes he will get a piece of my clothing and bring it to his bed. Trevor loves his walks and does pretty good on an EzWalk Harness....sometimes he zig zags but mostly he does a good job. He's pretty crafty when it comes to NOT taking pills, but I have found salmon cream cheese and American Cheese to be his downfall. At night he likes to sleep up on my bed, and for an old man he can hop up there with ease if he wants to sleep there. All in all, if you have an applicant that is home more than not and wants to feel pure unconditional Labrador love...send them Trevor's profile. He makes me smile all the time. When I'm busy doing something and he nudges me with that wet nose, it instantly reminds me to live in the moment and enjoy some quality time with a cool dog.

Update (8/04): Trevor is staying at Osgood Assisted Living for Old Labs while his #1 foster mom is on vacation. What a sweetheart! He has decided that his favorite place at the house is on the sofa in the family room with his head in his foster's lap. If you are looking for a handsome senior guy who wants nothing more than lots of love, Trevor is the one!

Trevor is a 10 year old yellow neutered male lab. He is current on vaccinations. He has an old injury in his right rear leg that has already healed, and there's nothing to do. He's on glucosamine supplements. Trevor weighs 67 pounds.
Trevor was returned because his owner passed away and elderly wife couldn't take care of him.
