Skipper's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Skipper's Story...
Skipper is a VERY sweet 7 year old lab who found our rescue because of a very sad situation. His owner passed away and he is currently staying with relatives of his former owner but they are not wanting to keep him. Skipper is still a very active guy and has many more years ahead of him. He did encounter a moving vehicle last year but has not slowed him down any. He is heartworm negative, on prevention, up to date on all vaccines, and neutered. He needs a new place to call home. Will you consider adopting this sweet boy? Adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skipper, a Newark Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Newark, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
