Kenshi's Story...
Hi! Kenshi here!
I'm the "cutest, most adorable cuddly guy in the world!" (according to my foster mom, who is really unbiased). I'm blind because I was sick when I was a tiny kitten, so they have me in this "special needs" category - but I challenge anyone to see me get around and realize I'm blind. Come in hand actually, because the foster mom gets all mushy and calls me her "furry inspiration" and I know I get extra treats ;-) The folks at SARA have had blind cats before and say that I'll still manage just fine when I'm older too. I don't have any needs that any other cat doesn't have - I need love, affection, good food, cuddles, toys, more love, more cuddles, more toys... you get the picture.

The Dr. vet removed my eyes to prevent any future problems because I wasn't using them anyway. I use my super special spidey senses to get around. I can be adopted by myself and don't need a "seeing eye" buddy, but I have lived with other cats and would enjoy the company. Fill out the paperwork today - that will give you time to perfect your bedtime cuddle before I come to live with you.

Adoption procedure includes an adoption application and home visit.
Adoption fee applies and includes:
neuter surgery
current on age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies)
FIV/ feline leukemia testing
microchip
cat training/ behavior DVD
certificate for a free veterinary wellness exam
oodles of kitty love ;-)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kenshi, a Tucson Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
