Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Puca! Puca is Hawaiian for “hole.” My foster aunt named me that because I was covered in puncture wounds when my foster mama found me in a ditch on the side of the road. I was pretty scared. The only people I had ever met before weren’t very nice to me. My foster mommy doesn’t know exactly what happened, but I still flinch when someone raises anything over my head. When I got picked up, I had never been in a car before. It was very scary! Then I went to a vet and the nice people shaved all my hair off and cleaned up all my injuries. After that, I got taken to a house! I’d never been in one of those either. It took me a while to realize that I didn’t have to be scared of anything anymore (except baths—yuck!). Now, I LOVE people, other doggies, and even kitties! I have a lot of energy, so I need lots of exercise so I don’t get too excited and chew on things that aren’t meant for chewing. If you could take me to a dog park or on a run every day, we’ll be just fine. I’m so excited to start my new life in my new forever home!
This dog is updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.
