This beautiful girl is Sophie. She is approximately 4 yrs old & was dumped by her previous owner in a very high kill shelter in NC back at the end of April of last yr. She was hours away from being killed when we had this very scared, but very sweet girl pulled from the shelter. She was afraid of people, not well socialized so she stayed with an amazing foster mom for a couple of months who made amazing progress with her. She is initially hesitant of strangers but does warm up. This girl is very mellow, very loving, & deserves a family of her own. She is good with other dogs that are low/medium energy when introduced properly,, she did well with cats while she was with her foster in SC, but hasn't been with them since last yr. She LOOOVES car rides. Given her history of abuse, it would be highly recommended that Sophie not got to home that has small children (under the age of 6) as sudden movements startle her.This sweet girl who was mistreated & left to die in a shelter by previous owner, is looking for a family who will love her the way she always should have been loved.
