Harley's Story...
Harley is a 2-1/2 year old German Shepherd whose family fell on hard times and felt she needed a second chance.
She is very lovable, knows basic commands, and is eager to please, and learn. Because of her former circumstances, she may have missed a meal or two, so she is really eager to eat! She has not shown any food aggression, just appreciation. She absolutely loves to ride in the car, enjoys being outside with her people. Although she did not come from the best of circumstances, she seems to know that her life is going to change. She doesn't care much for the crate but has not shown any destructive tendencies and likes hanging out in the den with her foster siblings. She will make a great addition to a family with other medium to large dogs and no cats.
Adoption fees are $40 per feline and $150 per canine unless otherwise specified. Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Harley will be current on shots, microchipped and spayed prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Savannah German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Savannah, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
