My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HANNAH is a 3 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 42 pounds and needs to gain 10. Hannah was fine around other dogs and people while in the shelter. From transporter: Hannah is a nice girl! She got a warm welcome at the vet. The staff knew Hannah was coming and greeted her very nicely. And, Hannah greeted all of them very nicely, too. She is a skinny girl right now. She hopped right into the car, was a good rider, and put her paw up on the back of my seat for the drive to the vet (very cute). She was quite active outside the car - didn't want a biscuit but was happy to have some water. Hannah was a stray to the shelter, but no one ever came looking for her. She is approved for kids 10+.

Update (8/17): Hannah is a great dog! She has a very sweet personality with both humans and other dogs. She has been caught trying to kiss both people and the 2 dogs she is staying with! Hannah is a little underweight but loves food. She should have no problem putting on the
weight that she lost during her tough times. She is 6 years old but doesn't act her age, she has the personality and energy of a younger dog. Hannah loves running and playing with stuffed animals. She is always trying to get the two older dogs to play with her; she would love other dogs in the house but is fine with just humans too! She would do best with room to run outside and a fenced yard. She is very good on a leash and enjoys walks too. She listens very well and in the time we have had her she is already following house rules. She is house trained, but for a while would need to be crated while people are away from the house. She does very well in the crate and even prefers to sleep in it at night. She eventually may not need it but to start she enjoys the routine and feels comfortable. She will make a great companion and make you smile!

Update (8/10): Hannah is a happy and sweet girl. She is an energetic pup who loves to run and explore and would need a fenced yard to stretch her legs. She is also a big fan of baby pools and water. Hannah is perfect in her crate and would love to find a home where she could soak in all the love someone could shower on her.

Update (8/04): How to get foster Hannah to lie down? Give her a bone! This 6 year old puppy needs patience and training, but is such a happy spirit. She loves her regular meals and treats and really enjoys stealing all the 'best' toys (changes daily) from resident Maestro. Her favorite place to play with them? On or near you, of course!

Update (7/31): Hannah has had a rough life, but nothing stops the tail from wagging a mile a minute! She's enjoying regular meals, satin ball treats and the unexpected dive in the fountain. She will soon realize that things have taken a turn for the better. This morning she was so comfortable in her foster home that she wanted to get into her foster's lap. She's having fun with toys and relaxing enough to actually explore the yard and run for the joy of it. She has a way to go, but this sweet girl is worth it!

Update (7/25): From vet staff: Hannah is doing awesome. She has tons of energy and a good appetite. She loves to be outside and walk around and see/smell everything. She LOVES people, every time we come around she gets so excited. She wags her tail when she sees other dog and would like to play with them. A very sweet girl.
