My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Auggie. I was living the rough life outdoors when HHS rescued me. It didn’t take me long to realize that I preferred the pampered life of an indoor kitty.

I am very affectionate and a pretty big fan of being petted and told what a handsome boy I am. I love to curl up in my foster mom's lap or on her chest for snuggles, head and chin scratches, or just to take a long cat nap. When bedtime rolls around, make sure you save a place for me!

After snuggle time, my second favorite part of the day is playtime! Playtime is so much fun, and I have lots of favorite toys. Wand toys with bells and feathers are particularly great, especially when my foster mom plays with me. I also like mice that rattle and balls that I can swat around, especially those crinkly ones that I can pick up and carry around. And those pop up cubes that you can hide and play in are fantastic. Even though I love to play with my foster mom, I'd really like to have a kitty friend in my forever home that I could play tag, hide and seek, and share toys with.

Sometimes I still get nervous when there are sudden, loud noises in the house or if I am approached too quickly. I might run, but not very far. It reminds me of those scary days when I was outside. Because of that, I think I would prefer a calm household with adults who will be patient with me and allow me time to adjust.
