Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Bruce. I am a very nice 5 year old, black cocker boy. I might have just a hint of schnauzer in me too, not sure. I was picked up as a stray by Animal Control and taken to a NC shelter. The staff found out really quick, that I am a sweet, humble, quiet cocker with some skin and coat issues that needed to be taken care of to keep me healthy. A nice shelter worker helped me to find my way to rescue.
I am heartworm negative and I am now neutered. Being in the shelter was very stressful for me, but I have done well here with these nice rescue folks. I am on the quiet side, so I don't like a lot of noise and activity going on. When I came here, the rescue vet found that my skin was like elephant skin. To help ease my itchy, awful issues, I was put on several medicines to get me well. It has taken some time, but now my skin issues are much better and under control and my hair has grown back. I am ready to find my forever home and someone to love me. I am a very nice, timid boy and I will be a great pal and wonderful companion for someone to love as their laid back house doggie. A calm home environment will be best as I am such an easy going guy. I am dog social and a loving cocker boy. Please give me a 2nd chance to have my forever home with someone who will take care of me and help me to have the life that I deserve.
If you are interested in adopting this very nice, laid back cocker boy, please send an email message to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes all of the vetting needs for this dog while in our care.
