Thunder's Story...
Hello my future family! My name is Thunder and I am a handsome gray tabby boy. My foster mom says that I am a 'ball of cuteness', ok I will admit that my belly is round :). And, as with any kitten you ask, I love to play, run and have fun! But, I also enjoy cuddling, purring and sleeping at night with my foster family. I like to be independent, watch animals outside the windows and to have a playmate to tumble around. Please consider adopting me if you are looking for animated and sweet little 'ball of cuteness'.

Thunder must have been an outdoor cat before he came to us, because he is very curious about the outside world, and has tried to run outside when a door was opened. His forever family will need to be very careful with making sure he stays inside.

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Thunder would really like a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our other fosters, or if there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…he already proved he is great at making friends!

Thunder’s estimated date of birth is 15. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
