My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for Mr. Right? Well, look no further! We found him right under our nose, and what a little sweetie this guy is. This miniature terrier mix got delivered to Adopt-A-Pet by mistake. He came to us from a high kill pound in Kentucky. We were supposed to have gotten a different dog, but a mix-up happened on the transport, and 'our' dog got delivered to another shelter, and this little guy was handed over to us instead. We told our vet to hold off on vetting him because we were going to be swapping dogs with the other shelter, and as a result, he never got a name or ID number, so to identify him they just started calling him "Mr. Wrong". What a sad little name. Well, fast forward a couple days, and we were having trouble coordinating with the other shelter to do the swap, and the more we got to know "Mr. Wrong" - we realized he was anything BUT "Mr. Wrong" and he must have been meant to be with us since everyone at the vet clinic loved him so much. So, swap cancelled, he wasn't going anywhere! And now this fellow has been officially dubbed "Mr. Right". He's now all vetted and ready to find his forever home.

We estimate Mr. Right to be about 3 years old and some kind of terrier mix. He's smaller than he looks in his photos, only 18 pounds. He's a total love with everyone, gets along with other dogs, ignored the clinic cats, and is just a happy little boy with his short tail always wagging. He's just settling in at his new foster home, but so far it's been an easy transition. He appears to be housetrained. He still needs a little coaching in the leash training and basic obedience department, he doesn't seem to know much, but he's attentive and wants to please. Stay tuned for updates as we get to know him better.

Mr. Right's adoption fee of $295 includes: vet exam, heartworm test (neg.), distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, routine deworming, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, microchip - and he is neutered.
