Barney's Story...

Barney, 5 years old, is actually much cuter in person.  He has a bright white and red coat and a super sunny disposition. Barney was someone's pet until they surrendered him to a Class B shelter which instead of "sheltering him" and giving him the opportunity for adoption, they sold him to a laboratory.  Barney, was a pet food tester who has now been retired thankfully by the laboratory. We are very glad they let Barney live because he a great dog.  He is a sweet boy who is crazy about toys, especially kongs. He loves exploring the property and then running back to give his people friends lots of kisses. He is a really cuddly boy too but he loves his freedom.  He loves walks, treats, toys, everything a normal dog likes. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Barney please fill out an adoption application at peace4paws.org http://peace4paws.org/Adoption_Form.html He is so ready for his forever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Westwood Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Westwood, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Westwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
