Marbles's Story...
Hi there, I’m Marbles. My mom, Serenity was rescued after a very bad snowstorm when she was pregnant with my brother, sisters and me. That was a relief, because I’ve heard little kittens don’t do well in the freezing cold. Instead, we were born in a warm, cozy room setup just for us! I guess you could say we were very lucky; we live the life of luxury!

My foster mom named me marbles because of the unique marble-like patterns on my back. She also says that I run all over the place like a pack of marbles. I run, roll, jump and pounce. I hear I’m very entertaining to watch. For me, I’m just being my silly, playful self!

I’ll be honest, all that playing takes a lot of energy. I need time to recharge and I prefer to do that in the loving arms of my foster mom. All it takes is a soft touch and I’m purring my way into a wonderful nap!
I’m hoping to find a forever home that will have lots of space and toys to play with and big hearts to love me forever.

If you'd like to meet me, please email to setup a visit. Don't forget to tell them you want to meet Marbles!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marbles, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
