Winnie's Story...
Winnie is a 1 year old wire-haired Jack Russel Terrier. She is just under 15 pounds and totally cute. She loves meeting all new people and has done well meeting new dogs as well. We are not sure how she is around cats. Winnie is house trained as long as she’s let out on a regular schedule. She is also crate trained. Winnie has a lot of energy and would love a home another playful dog to wrestle with. She would also love a fenced yard, as she loves exploring outdoors. Winnie is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She’s looking for her new family to love!
If you are interested in adopting Winnie, please visit our website at www.rchsks.org and click on “Adopting a Pet” on the left side. You will be asked to complete a few forms. By filling out these forms, you are not committing yourselves to the pet you're interested in. The application is a screening process that must be completed before you meet the dog. Please do this BEFORE calling. Our voicemail is only checked periodically, and you can reach us much faster through our website. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Manhattan Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
