Harvey's Story...
Harvey, oh Harvey! You are not supposed to fall in love with the dogs you take photographs of… but who can help but NOT fall in love with this tall, gangly young black lab mix?!?! He is impossibly affectionate, eager to please, and has the most adorable long lanky frame and legs. Did I mention he has an equally long pink tongue? Add up all his “cute” factor, and you’ve got a big, sweet, dear hearted dog. He almost looks like a thinner, “lab-ish” looking Great Dane, with a quintessential sweet Labrador personality. 1 year

Act quickly to adopt Harvey. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Darlington Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
