My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good Golly Miss Mollie!

Mollie is around four years old and looks to be a Whippet/Rat Terrier Mix. She has very muscular legs, but a petite and lean body. She weighs at 32 lbs so she's the perfect couch buddy and she loves to cuddle! She is good with other dogs and likes to play. She absolutely loves to run, so a fenced yard would be a HUGE plus for her. She is also good on a harness/leash.

We received a call about a dog that was left on a short chain, tied to a mobile home that someone had moved away from. They left poor little Mollie to starve and sit in her own urine and waste. We wondered why and how someone would be so cruel. Needless to say, we rescued sweet Mollie and she has been so grateful ever since. She loves to play with other dogs and snuggle with her foster parents. She is a bit shy with new people at first, but bonds quickly and learns to trust. Being a second dog really helps her come out of her shell so much quicker than if she is on her own. She is crate and house trained.

Mollie is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, kept on heartworm preventative and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
Adoption fee: $125.00
In order to meet or adopt Mollie, please complete the online application at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org

For further information about our adoption process:
http://www.ruralanimalrescueeffort.org/adoption-process-1/

An application and home visit/meet & greet are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc.. An adoption trial may commence at that time, if RARE and potential adopter(s) are in agreement. Please complete the application on our website www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org and we will call you to explain the adoption process in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
PLEASE NOTE: Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption. Please understand that adopting an animal is a lifetime commitment to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.

*If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 4 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home.

**All of our pets are, or will be, spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
