Washington's Story...
Friends for Life welcomed back Washington when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She is a stunner with her vibrant blue eyes and Siamese coloring. Washington will greet you with Olympic-sized head rubs and then will roll down onto her back in the hopes of some fun with a cat toy, particularly a little stuffed toy on the end of a stick. She likes to alternate between trapping it with her paws and bringing it to her face for some more cheek rubs with the soft end. What activity wouldn’t be improved with a cheek rub or two?! Washington also really enjoys taking in the sights out the window and keeping tabs on what’s doing in the neighborhood. Washington is a beauty who adores head scratches and a room with a view!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Washington, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
