Audrey's Story...
Hey folks it's me... Audrey. I am hound dog. I was bred and bought to do a job. Hunt. I wasn't bought to be part of a family, the only family I ever knew was my co-workers... other hound dogs. I was kept outside in a kennel, given food and water everyday. The only time I was let out was to work. I never got a loving pat on the head or a kind word. I never got to snuggle up with a human and get a belly rub. I was really never spoken to kindly, just given commands. I didn't have a warm cushy bed to sleep on and toys... What are they. So you see, I am a hound dog. Being a hound dog is all I have ever known... until now. I love my cushy bed. I sleep on it every night. I don't mind the crate because I am used to cages. Am I snuggler? What is that? My foster family is trying to teach me. Do I seek out a head rub? Never had it before so will I like it, not sure. Working on that too. Do I trust completely that a human is not going to yell commands at me? No, because I have never known kind words. So you see... I am a hound dog, that's all I have ever known. Please someone give me a chance to know what a loved dog is all about. I want it, I need it.....Love Audrey.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Audrey, a Apex Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Apex, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
