Callie's Story...
Callie, DSH Estimated DOB 3-26-13, Spayed Tortishell Female, all vaccines current. This pretty girl was accepted into the Partners for Cats Program and went to live with one of the board members. She was thought not to be pregnant and surprised her caregiver with 4 beautiful kittens who are now weaned and on their way to their own lives. She also surprises folks with what a sweet loving non alpha girl she is, the opposite to what people think of as a Tortie. She loves attention, loves to be held and played with. She gets along well with other easy going kitties and tolerates cat friendly dogs. She prefer they not get to close. She's been a good Mother to her babies and now it's time to baby her. If you are interested in making this sweet girl your very best buddy, then contact Jean 828-437-8769 and speak with her about brining pretty Callie into your home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Morganton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Morganton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Morganton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morganton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morganton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morganton paves the way for another one to be saved.
