My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everybody!
My name is Paddy, which is short for Paddington- and I’m a handsome little Bichon mix of about three or four. I’m amazingly mellow, incredibly friendly (like the famous bear for whom I’m named) but I’m no couch potato. I love dogs, kids, adults, walks, rides in the car, ear scratches, head rubs and belly rubs. I’m not bragging but Mom says I’m just about the most perfect companion in the world!
Dad says I’m 12 pounds of pure delight – a little guy who is affectionate, happy, smart, and well behaved. He says I’m a real cuddlebug who loves to sleep – and has the cutest snore. I also have the best of manners. When we are on a walk, for example, I don’t pull. When we see other dogs I remain calm and polite, always happy to meet. When we meet people I always act appropriately, and wait for them to come over to greet me. (Dad says that everyone who meets me comments that I’m a sweetheart. Aw gee, Dad – thanks!) That must be because I like to be around people and dogs.
Mom says to tell you that I'm also very brave, trusting, gentle and special. One of the things that makes me special has to do with one of my scapulas. (In case you don’t know what that is, and I didn’t, it’s also called a shoulder blade.) You see one of mine is a little bit higher than the other but it that has no affect on my ability to walk or even run. Our vets say I don’t need surgery and I don’t need medicine. It’s just a part of who I am and a way in which I’m special.
There is no doubt that I show my good manners by being housebroken, listening very attentively and being a very good boy. Mom says I am learning commands, learning about tennis balls and have become very fearless. Why the vacuum cleaner and the power saw don’t scare me. That’s how brave I am already!
Dad says to tell you that I respond to affection – and am very, very deserving! He and Mom agree I’m very loyal and that I adapt well. The only thing that I need right now is a forever family to call my very own.
Do I sound like your kind of guy? I’m awfully good at a lot of things and I’m waiting to be yours. So please complete our application and ask for me. I’m waiting to meet you!
Love and snuggles,
Precious, Priceless (and Polite) Paddington
