My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Rocko! Despite falling on hard times, I'm a happy and social guy. I love being around my people for cuddles, walks outside or car rides, and I think other animals like cats and dogs are great too. I am new to Broken Tail Rescue, so please check back as my foster Mom updates this. She's always talking about my adorable, giant ears, so I bet she will tell you all about my other great qualities too, just ask!

I am pretty teeny at about 7lbs, but despite my small size, I am full of fun! I like to cuddle like a Chihuahua, and bounce and act silly like a JRT. I am an older guy, probably 10-12 years old, and although I may nap like a senior dog, I prance around like a much younger pup. I love love, love to go outside to walk or sniff around, there is so much to see! I also love when you talk to me and look in my eyes. I really want to make sure that I hear everything you say, so I will tilt my head to let you know that I am listening.

If you are interested in finding out more about Rocko, please fill out an application. Rocko is being fostered in Charlestown, Ma.

The adoption fee is $100.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
