Amelia's Story...
AMELIA is a retriever/hound mix and approximately 50 pounds. She's 3 to 4 years old and is great with other dogs. She's also shares a home with cats right now. She's 100% house trained and is very good at keeping an eye on who is approaching the house! She's attentive from her favorite spot, at the window. She's a medium energy dog who we think would love to run or walk daily on leash. You can meet her by emailing info@FORrescue.net. The first step is the application at http://forrescue.net/dog-application/. AMELIA is located in Flintville, TN and meetings can be arranged in Huntsville, AL. Thank you for reading about AMELIA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Homewood Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
