Roxy's Story...
Need a hug? Roxy will give you one! Enter her kennel and this calm girl comes to life and will give a hug as if to say "Thank You", I would love to get out of this kennel! Roxy came to Better Days after she was found as a stray back in 2011. We don’t know for sure that she is an Australian Kelpie mix but she looks a lot like that type of dog. Whatever type of dog she is, she is quite beautiful with her upright ears, dark brindle coat and bright brown eyes. She is a medium sized dog of about 40 pounds. Roxy was a bit shy when she first arrived but now she is very friendly, affectionate and responsive. She is a clean dog who likes to go out for a walk and very much loves to be cuddled and petted. Roxy is looking for a second chance and if you can give her that, you would be the winner with this very nice dog.

Please go to www.betterdaysanimalleague.org to access and submit the online application if you wish to meet Roxy in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Chambersburg Dutch Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd for sale in Chambersburg, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd dog from a breeder in Chambersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chambersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chambersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chambersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
