Raven's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Raven's Story...
Raven #3299 is a 1-year-old female, Border Collie mix. She is somewhat shy, but warms up quickly, especially when belly rubs are involved. Raven LOVES belly rubs! She is almost kennel trained and with a little more practice she will be great on leash. She is a fan of the outdoors. She is good with other dogs and cats. She is full grown and weighs 26 pounds.
We believe you can always teach an “old” dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Waldorf Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
