My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Pucca, she is an 7 year old poodle that has had a rough life to put it mildly. She lived on the streets of South LA for many years. She was a typical street dog, everyone knew her and would throw out scraps of food for her but no one cared enough about her to give her a home. She was extremely matted and dirty. She was in horrible shape. One day someone saw a large dog attacking her and was able to stop the attack. They scooped her up and took her to the shelter where she would at least have a meal every day and someone to look at the wounds she suffered from in the attack. The shelter had to shave her down in order to clean the wounds (her matted fur probably saved her life) and underneath all of the hair they found bite wounds, foxtails embedded into her skin and demodex mange. This poor girl was suffering from years of neglect. She had a raging skin infection. And despite all of her medical issues and being uncomfortable and in pain she was happy! Happy for every ounce of attention she received. The shelter begged us to take her. She deserved to have a good life! She was a good girl that wanted to be loved and pampered! Pucca;s hair is growing in very nicely and she will be a little glamour queen very soon!
She is 90% housebroken and completely crate trained. She loves to go for walks and is a very good girl in the car. If you are looking a sweet girl that just loves to hang out and keep you company all day then Pucca is your girl! Our adoptions are restricted to residents of Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
