Sadie's Story...
Sweet Sadie is an unclaimed stray who's really looking forward to having a family of her own. She looks like a whippet mix; at 26lbs, she's a dainty little girl. She likes other dogs, big and small, and doesn't mind cats. She's crate trained and mostly potty trained. Her foster family reports that she won't have an accident inside unless she gets too distracted when she's outside and forgets to go. She's cuddly and affectionate. She likes to play with other dogs and go for walks, but she's not super high energy. She's under 2, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and started on heartworm prevention. If you can love Sadie as much as she'll love you, please go to our website and fill out an application:

www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Our adoption fee $195 includes spay/neuter, parvo/distemper series of shots, rabies if dog is old enough, bordatello, heartworm preventative while here, worming, and microchipping.

We appreciate your patience as our volunteer-only team reviews your application and updates our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Charlotte Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Whippet dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet breeders who help with Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
