My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Azrael is a strikingly handsome brown tabby and white gentle giant. He is a quiet guy with an imposing presence, weighing in at 15 lbs., measuring about 20” long (tail not included) and about 16” tall. We believe he is an American Shorthair due to his short face, muscular, robust body and temperament. He fits the following descriptionof the breed to a T, “The adaptable and good-natured American Shorthairretains his hunting ability, but these days he is more likely to be a family companion, a job at which he excels. He has a middle-of-the-road temperament, being calm but not comatose. The American Shorthair is moderately active and enjoys a good playtime as much as the next cat, but he’s not overly demanding of attention or activity. As befits a working class cat who has made good, he is smart and enjoys playing with puzzle toys and interactive toys. He has a sociable nature and isn’t the type to hide under the bed when visitors arrive. This is a placid cat but one that
doesn’t especially like being carried around. Let him stand on his own four feet. He may or may not be a lap cat, but he will always appreciate having a spot next to you on the sofa or at the end of the bed."

Azrael has a beautiful, open, expressive face with high full cheekbones, broad forehead and almond shaped eyes. His short thick fur is easy to care for. He is lower energy but loves regular play sessions involving feathers and enjoys being close to his humans. He is generally quiet but will greet
his people with meows and call for your attention when necessary. He does not love being held and carried, but will tolerate it. His favorite pastime is watching birds from the window sill. He is front paw declawed. Azrael could make an excellent family companion since he is quite robust,
tolerant and docile.
