My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gorgeous Natasha simply leaves us breathless! This gorgeous, Alpha Diva Eskie girl will make Eskie Lovers weak in the knees. She came to us earlier this year from a rural animal control shelter, where she had been dumped by her family after an argument she had with a toddler. Natasha lost the argument, as well as her home!

Not all dogs are tolerant of toddler attention, but it seems to us, that Natasha's former family did a pretty poor job of raising her from a puppy and of supervising their toddler. Our job with Natasha was to do the work that should have been done much earlier in her young life. Only one and half years old, Nastasha is well down the road to Canine Good Citizenship. She is a glorious Standard sized Eskie, weighing 32 pounds, and will be extremely easy for savvy Eskie folks to handle.

Natasha would do well in an active adult home that can provide a good amount of leadership and exercise. She is a medium energy dog, who requires a couple of brisk leash walks daily, as well as some activities that provide mental challenge. Natasha is an Agility and Obedience natural, and would excel in those areas. She should continue her Obedience sequence work on a daily basis, to give her focus and purpose.

Natasha could easily join a multi-dog home with other Canine Good Citizens. Cats are not a good bet for her, nor are toddlers. She has an Alpha personality, and a personality match with her new sibling will be important. She loves to play, and continually confounds us by rolling in "God knows what", after her bath. We gave up and took her to the professional groomer, and she handled very well. Overall, Natasha has good house manners, and is housetrained and crate trained. Adopters should be prepared to troubleshoot potty accidents should they occur during her transition to a new routine.

Natasha is in excellent health and has been spayed. She is current on routine vaccinations, and is heartworm negative. If you are interested in Natasha, please call or text Denise at 720-903-0636, or write to Denise@eskiesonline.com for an adoption application.
