Hi! My new name is Chai, like Chai tea, formerly Buckeye. My foster Mom feels like Chai better describes my beautiful brindle fur and my feminine personality. I am approximately 2 years old and a hound/terrier mixed breed. I have had a pretty hard way of it, being picked up as a stray in Richland County, Ohio, and finding my way to Columbus by way of the kind people at Peace For Paws Ohio. I love people buy am pretty shy around other dogs. I like slow introductions to doggy friends and am not sure about kitties, but with a patient owner, I am sure I can learn to love anything that you love, because I will love you so much! I get pretty afraid when I am left alone due to my long stay in that scary shelter, so I will need a lot of reassurance and patience until I am sure I can trust that you will come back for me. I am spayed and up to date on all shots, microchipped, and licensed to practice doggy love in the State of Ohio! Please fill out an application to meet me at

Chai's (Buckeye) adoption fee is $230. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
