Hi there. My name is Diesel. I'm close to 2 years old now and I weigh about 40 lbs.
I was picked up as a stray in East Liverpool after having been in a fight with another dog. Neither of us was seriously injured or anything, but I was a stray and nobody knew where I lived so the pound came out and picked me up... at 1 am...
The workers at the pound really thing the other dog must have initiated the fight because I have been great with other dogs here at the pound, I was even happy and playful with an intact male. They have noticed though, that if another dog is aggressive or dominant, that I do not like that. I would do best in a home where I am either the only dog, or in a home with a submissive dog.
I am a very, very sweet dog with people. I love to sit on your lap and give you kisses and cuddle up with you.
I was obviously a house dog in my previous life and I even appear to be housebroken.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
